GIBS Group ― Global Insurance & Bonding Services ― is an independent consulting and brokerage services company specialized in surety bonds and guarantees. GIBS provides services with expertise for insurers, reinsurers, (re) insurance brokers, and corporations. We have an extensive track record in securing transactions and programs in the segment. Experience in the market
We count on the expertise of our founder, Luis Barretto, who has a successful background in global surety bond and guarantee programs in several segments of the economy ― Engineering & Construction, Real Estate, Industry and Infrastructure in general. Luis is a member of the Society of Insurance Brokers, associated to the Chartered Insurance Institute from the UK. He has conducted business in the (re) insurance markets in four continents since 1993, working on the structure and placement of more than US$20 billion of surety bonds and guarantees worlwide.
With offices in Lisbon and São Paulo, GIBS is one of the few companies outside the USA that is associated to the National Association of Surety Bond Producers (NASBP). GIBS has an extensive network of partners, including the main players of the global surety bond and guarantee markets, especially in the main international insurance and reinsurance hubs (USA, UK, Germany and Switzerland).
GIBS is also an Approved Broker of the African Trade & Investment Development Insurance (“ATIDI”), pan-African institution that provides surety bonds, political risk and credit insurance to companies, investors, and lenders interested in doing business in Africa.
